In the Yoruba and Ifá spiritual tradition, an eleke is a sacred beaded necklace worn for spiritual protection, identity, initiation, and connection to a specific Òrìṣà (Orisha). Different elekes use different bead colors and patterns to represent particular Òrìṣàs. They are usually given during initiation or important ceremonies.

Each bundle of elekes requires a consecration which includes divination and appeasement by our Ifa priest. The eleke is then worn for spiritual alignment and protection.

Elekes must be treated respectfully because it carries spiritual energy and power (àṣẹ). Upon your purchase we will inform you of its proper protocol. This includes when to wear or remove them, sleeping or bathing with them, who can touch them, and how they should be cleansed spiritually.

Please be aware that the elekes are sold in a bundle set. They are not sold individually. When you select your Orisha, we then proceed with the consecration ceremony. Once completed, we ship them directly to you.
